Glow Girls Club CIC (GGC) is a community-driven organisation supporting girls and young women as they navigate key stages of their personal and educational development.
We provide safe, inspiring environments where girls can explore their interests, gain real-world exposure, and develop the awareness needed to make informed decisions about their futures.
Glow Girls Club was established in response to the gaps many young people face when transitioning between different stages of education and early adulthood. While academic learning is widely available, access to mentorship, practical experiences, and supportive networks remains limited for many girls.
Through mentorship, workshops, volunteering opportunities, and community partnerships, we introduce girls to new experiences that broaden their perspectives and help them understand the opportunities available to them. We also encourage peer support and positive role modelling, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.
We are committed to creating an environment where every girl feels heard, valued, and supported. Where additional support is needed, we work to signpost and connect young people to trusted organisations and professionals who can provide specialised guidance.
At its core, Glow Girls Club believes in the long-term impact of early support and positive influence. By investing in girls during key stages of their development, we contribute to building a generation of confident, capable young women who go on to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
Founder & Leadership
Founded by Shamayne Mac, Glow Girls Club CIC (GGC) is led by a business analyst, mentor and community advocate whose passion lies in empowering girls and young women to build confidence, develop practical skills and succeed in education, careers, entrepreneurship and life.
Shamayne’s journey began with a strong work ethic from a young age. She started working at 18 years old, gaining experience across a wide range of industries including hospitality, entertainment, healthcare, leisure and corporate environments. From early customer-facing roles to positions in healthcare settings such as care homes and hospitals, these experiences helped her develop a deep understanding of people, communities and the challenges many young individuals face when navigating education and employment.
Over time, Shamayne progressed into more professional roles including reception and frontline service management, human resources advisory positions and corporate project work. Today she works within the corporate and electrotechnical sector, specialising in business analysis and project management, where she contributes to improving systems, processes and organisational operations.
Alongside her professional career, Shamayne has remained committed to community work, mentorship and empowerment initiatives. Her work and professional experiences across Zimbabwe, South Africa and the United Kingdom have given her a broad perspective on the barriers many women and young people face when accessing opportunities, leadership pathways and meaningful employment.
Through these experiences, Shamayne developed a strong belief that access to knowledge, mentorship and opportunity can transform lives. She believes that when young girls are supported early, they grow into confident women who uplift others and create positive change within their communities.
Her leadership and vision continue to focus on creating opportunities that help the next generation of girls and young women recognise their potential, build confidence and step into their futures with purpose and ambition.
